The Clan Gregor Society, SE US Chapter, won the McKenzie Award for "Best Clan Spirit" at the 2002 Stone Mountain Highland Games. The trophy is given to the Clan showing the greatest Spirit and support of the Scots tradition and history. This award is given as a memorial every year by a family member of Mr. McKenzie, deceased, a member of St. Andrews.

There were over 120 clan tents competing for this award. We were awarded the trophy, which remains with the Stone Mountain Association and an engraved silver tray that is ours to keep. Quite an honor!

The award was given to us for:

• Our financial support of our Pipe Band in Scotland
• Participation in a scholarship program for Scottish Dance students
• Overall participation in local Highland Games
• Outstanding member involvement in activities of the Clan Gregor Chapter

Most of our membership are available at our tent during the Highland games to give both written & verbal information on Clan Gregor. We are also known for the warm, cheerful welcome at our tent with food and drink offered to all who call themselves MacGregors (and other visitors as well).
