Membership Information

Annual Dues

Subscriptions for each year are due by January 1 of the new year unless you have joined the Society on or after September of the previous year. However, before renewing your subscription, please read the Membership Information below to ensure payments are made correctly and promptly. Payments should be made to the Secretary.

Membership Information

1. Annual Subscriptions are payable on 1st January each year, and the current rate is £12 for an Individual Membership or £24 for a Family Membership. Family Membership includes all dependent children up to and including 17 years of age.

2. A 5-year Membership is available on payment of 4 times the annual rate. The final year of any Membership Subscription paid in advance is now shown as part of your Membership Number.

3. Payment of Subscription may be made by Cheque or Banker's Order. Members resident in the United Kingdom are requested to consider completing a Deed of Covenant on which the Society can reclaim tax.

4. Members outside the Sterling area are requested to pay by Bank Cheque in the appropriate currency or in sterling through a UK Bank, however we would remind those members who are also members of a Chapter that their dues should be paid through that Chapter.

5. According to our Constitution, any member who shall be two years in arrears of subscription shall be deemed to have ceased to be a member. However, ex members are welcome to rejoin.

6. Please remember to state your Membership Number in all correspondence, especially when renewing your subscription.

7. Do remember to let us know your new address if you move house.

8. If you hear of the death of any member, please inform the Administrative Office so that our Roll of Honour can be kept up to date.

9. Members receive two Newsletters per year.

10. Membership records and genealogical data pertaining to members are retained on computer. Any member who objects should advise the Secretary who will make alternative arrangements.

11. We extend a very warm welcome to all our new Members and hope that you will benefit from the fellowship which the Society has to offer while, at the same time gaining satisfaction from the part which you are playing in the furtherance of the Society's Objects.

12. If you can help in any way to further the objects of the Society, or would like to submit an article for our Newsletters, please let us hear from you. This is YOUR SOCIETY and its existence depends on YOU.
